Does Melissa Get Enough Sleep

I found this blogthing and I just had to take the test. My honey has told me he thinks my weak immune system (yep, I'm sick yet again) has to do with how stressed I get and how hard it is for me to sleep and this little test seems to go along with that theory a little bit.

You Sometimes Don't Get Enough Sleep

You're often more tired than you'd like, and you're probably not getting enough quality sleep.

Sleeping a little more could make you a lot more energetic and happy.

Try having a bedtime, keep your bedroom cool, and only eat fruit before bed.

Challenging Myself

In an effort to make myself get back on track with both scrappin' and blogging I've challenged myself to make something based on each of the four sketches in the Premiere Issue of Scrap N'Art. I have had the ezine downloaded to my computer for a while now but just took a look at it this morning. It seems to be quite wonderful and it's FREE.

Just looking at the cover made me want to explore it from cover to cover. I rarely have that kind of impulse with an online magazine. I'm addicted to actual scrapbook magazines that I can hold in my hands but I found that this zine is awesome too. I'd love to see more digital scrapbooking in there since I've crossed over to the dark side now but hopefully it will be there with the next issue.

I decided to tackle the card sketch first since I have been thinking about making an anniversary card for Blake. I did a little changing but stuck to the original sketch pretty well. Here's the front of the card -

and this is what will be inside -

Now if I can just get my mini printer to work I'll put the card together so I can give it to him tomorrow night.

Credits:
The front of my card is based on Linda Lou's card sketch in the premiere issue of Scrap N' Art. I made the background paper by merging Folded and Lined Overlay by Gunhild Storeide with green paper from the Doodly Patterns paper by Weeds and Wildflowers Design. I set the opacity at around 40%. The peach rickrack comes from MLW Custom Designs' Spring Out Loud and the green from Royanna Fritschmann's Bunniboo Elements. The cool flowers are from Doodly Patterns and the lettering is Black Lace Letters, both by Weeds and Wildflowers Design also (They are one of my favorites, can you tell?). The Scalloped Frames are from Shazbutt's Digi-Scrapz. The front card uses 2Peas Fiddlesticks and Ditzy fonts and the inside uses 2Peas Ditzy and Madammoiselle.

My Coffee

You Are a Cappuccino

You're fun, outgoing, and you love to try anything new.

However, you tend to have strong opinions on what you like.

You are a total girly girly at heart - and prefer your coffee with good conversation.

You're the type that seems complex to outsiders, but in reality, you are easy to please

Love is All You Need

Hannah loves Brown Dog. He's part of what Blake got me for Valentine's Day. I find him in different places everyday when I get home from school. She totes him around everywhere.

I used a the February Challenge Template by Sir Scrapalot at myscrapshop. com. I adjusted it a little by making the photo block larger and changing out the font. The kit I used is also by Sir Scrapalot and it’s called You Light Up My Life. I used CK Good Day font.

My journaling reads:

Hannah loves the big brown dog Blake got me for Valentine’s Day

8 Facts about ME in 2008

I forgot to share this one when I made it earlier this year so I'm posting it now. I'm tring really hard to have a more positive attitude and I think this layout reflects that.

I adapted a Resolutions template by Kellie Mize for this layout. The kits used are Velvet Strawberries by Creative Confusion and the Good Times Collaboration Kit at Little Dreamer Designs. The fonts used are 2 Peas Miss Happy and 2 Peas Chatter.

Valentine's Day mini book

I made this little book for Blake for V-day. It was a last minute idea and I worried about getting done and it looking ok since I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Another worry was whether he would like it, whether he thought it was too soon for so personal a gift, whether he would run screaming away...

Thankfully he loved it. He told me it meant a lot to him. He did all the reading that night before he went to bed and sent me the sweetest email. It was a keeper. It was such a relief that the gift was well accepted and loved.

It was my first hybrid project. Still a bit more digital than traditional but I like how it turned out. The book I used was an old purchase. I'm not sure who the manufacturer was, just that I got it at Hobby Lobby during the years I worked there. It was perfect for this. The title on the front is stickers. I covered the inside covers with papers by Fancy Pants. They were perfect with the digital items I used for the pages. I replaced the manila colored pages with black cardstock and then attached the 4 X 6 printed layouts on them. The ribbons are by Offray.

Here is a sample of what the pages looked like attached to the black background.

I used Brag template # 4 by Teriann Hanks, Kraft Stash Alphas by Trish Jones, Names kit by Digitreats, A Better Me, Seeing Stars and Pieces of My Heart papers by Weeds and Wildflowers. The fonts used are CK Peace Out and Template.

And now a closer look at just the layout.

The next page

I used Brag template # 4 by Teriann Hanks, papers from A Better Me and Loving You, Be Bold wordstrip from Being Me elements from Weeds and Wildflowers, heart element from How Lovely kit by Heidi Larsen, and Sweetness Ledger add-on by Meredith Fenwick. The font used is Bradley Hand.

page 3

I used papers from the Celebrating Color freebie and Live Life wordstrip from Being Me elements from Weeds and Wildflowers, Valentine Stamp from Nancie Rowe Janitz, Sweet Heart element by Krystal Hartley, and Sweetness Ledger add-on by Meredith Fenwick. The font used is MA Sexy.

Page 4

I adapted another Brag Template (5) by Teriann Hanks for this one. I just removed the element on the lower left and replaced it with the hearts. The Papers are from Loving You by Weeds and Wildflowers and the heart element is by Heart Attack from Krystal Hartley. The Date Stamp is also from Teriann Hanks.

5 - This one is a digi vday card that I used.

I used Be My Valentine quick page by Katie Pertiet.

and 6

For this layout I adapted a template by Terianne Hanks from Brag Templates # 6. I also used papers from Sweetest Thing paper pack by Krystal Hartley, SWAK Glitter Red and Love Dots # 2 by Katie Pertiet. The font used is LD Coffee House.

and the last page so far is a journaling page

I used paper from A Better Me by Weeds and Wildflowers, Artful Antiquities Blank Label Stickers by Christine Honsinger and LD Delightful font.

A new layout

So far I haven't been a great scrapper or blogger in 2008. We were out of school today because of freezing rain so I'm trying to get myself caught up a little bit here.

This layout is about the new man in my life. We met in December and he's very special to me. This is the first layout I've done about us.

I used Speed Byte # 96 by Pattie Knox, Valentine Memories kit by Teriann Hanks, Heart Attack by Krystal Hartley, and Decoupaged Photo Frames #4 by Katie Pertiet. The font I used is 2Peas Well Behaved.

The journaling reads: Until I met you I did not realize how much I missed having someone to kiss.

My First Layout of 2008

This YearI’m going to…Love Myself for who I am

This layout is very different for me but I decided to be brave and do it anyway. I want to be more comfortable in my own skin in 2008. I'm not getting any younger so I decided it's a fine time to start.

Anyone who knows me very well knows that I've never been happy with my breast size. I swear they haven't grown since I was 12 years old. I went through a phase when I wanted to get a boob job. Now I'm thankful I never did it. I may never really love my breasts but I'm fairly happy with what I've got right now. With the right bra I've decided they look pretty good.

I did this layout for the Lifts with a Twist challenge. I so hate that it's the last one. I've learned a lot by doing the lifts last year. I used the Bohemian Traveler kit by Shabby Miss Jenn and Wordart from the New Year’s Resolutions minikit by Gillian Hurst. The font used for journaling is 2 Peas Girly.

The journaling reads:
I have decided to be happy with my boobs this year. So what if I’ll never be voluptuous. I’ve heard large breasts are overrated and at least I won’t have to worry about my almost B cup breasts falling very far when old age hits. Besides I love padded bras.

Digital Shopping

I think that this may be an even better shopping day than Digital Scrapbooking Day! All of my favorite stores have sales and I know that I'm going to start here with Scrap Artist. If I have any mad money left to spend I'll check out all the other sales.

not completely forgotten

Every summer I attempt to get myself organized with my scrapbooking. I wanted to have one place where I put every layout and all the info that goes along with it. Once school starts I do good to get any scrapbooking done and then rarely document it at all. I hope to get myself caught up with that during this holiday break or at Christmas when I'm out of school longer.

3rd Grade Buds

This is the only layout that I managed to do this week. It was my first week back in school and I spent most of my time in meetings and working on getting my room ready for the new year. My goal for now is to get at least one layout done a week but I'm hoping for more.

For this layout I used the August template by Kellie Puddy at Color Line Design. All papers and most elements are from the Dingy Boy kit by Little Dreamer Designs. I used Teriann Hanks’ It’s a Date Addon Schooldays. The fonts used are 2Peas Frazzled and 2Peas Burlap.

The journaling reads: I took this photo of Alec with his friends Cory and Nathan at the end of April when they came for a sleepover.

Guilty Look

I did this CASE of Krista’s layout for the weekly Lift with a Twist challenge. Almost all of the supplies used come from Gina Cabrera. The file folders (Office Essentials Folio), the notebook paper inside (Office Essentials Notebook Paper) and the flower and button embellishments (Sweet Summer and Summer Blooms). The bird doodle is from Michelle Underwood’s That Smile page kit, the notebook paper tucked under the photo is from Just Journaling by Teriann Hanks, the date stamp is from erecinella and the journaling lines are by Fernlili. The font used for the journaling is LD Antiquated.

The journaling reads: I just love this cute little guilty look on your sweet face Hannah. I caught you red-handed going through my purse. It reminded me so much of when I found your brother opening presents under the Christmas tree at the same age. April ‘06

Easter Basket

I used Template # 1 in Teriann Hanks’ Flower Simple Sets, Scrap Artist’s Journalique kit papers and embellishments and the journaling font is Curlz MT.

The journaling reads: Hannah loved her Easter basket this year. It was too cold for her pretty new dress though. April 8, 2007.

Anticipating Fall

I did this layout using Eva Kipler’s Template for Aug. 1 –15 at www.digitalfreebies.com. Most of the supplies I used are by Weeds and Wildflowers – tan swirl paper and stamp from Discovering freebie, peach and polka dot paper and ribbon accent from Welcoming Spring freebie, and corner doodle from Celebrating Color freebie. The orange paper (adjusted slightly) for the file folder is from Shandy Vogt’s Not so Simple Solids and the notepaper is from Teriann Hanks’ Just Journaling and the brown felt alphabet letters are by Shelle Pukas. The fonts used are 1 Bean Sprout DNA and American Typewriter.

The journaling reads: August 6, 2007
I ran across this photo on my computer this morning. I was looking for a picture of one of the kids to scrap. I was instantly taken back to that chilly November day. It was the first day that was cold enough to wear the new cap and scarf that I had just finished knitting. I had my camera with me that day to take photos of seventh graders to draw their self-portraits from. One of my kids took my picture and I worked on one of myself during this lesson. I remember that it was Dylan that took my snapshot but I can’t for the life of me figure out what I did with my drawing. I hope to run across it next week when I am working to get my classroom ready.

Hometown Days

This is an older digital layout that I hadn't shared here. I'm not sure why but I just neglected to do it. I found it while I was looking for the 3 layouts that I got done last week that I haven't posted.

I used Eva K’s template at Digital Freebies (June challenge) for the overall design. The blue background paper is from Jaana Saker’s Heaven and Earth paper pack, the green dot is from Weeds and Wildflower’s Coming Home Kit, the yellow graph paper is from The Digi Shoppe, The stripe, plaid, blue and pink papers are from Shandy Vogt’s Jumperoo kit, the ticket to Ride stamp is by Seebee’s Freebies, designing on the edge alphabet is by bob, and the font for journaling is 2Peas Chatter and the font used for the date on the ticket is CK Template.

Little Swimmers

I used Template #3 in Teriann Hanks’ Flower Simple Sets, elements and papers from her Blossoms kit, and index card from her Just Journaling kit. Upper Case Doodle Alpha by Lisa Whitney is used for the title and the journaling font is CK Thickness.

The journaling reads: Hannah and her cousin Katie had a wonderful time playing in the pool together. Both girls love to be in the water and they were great playmates for one another. They had two great afternoons of splashing good fun this week. I hope they remain friends as they grow up together. August 2, 2007.

Boy in Blue

I have had such a busy week I didn't think I'd be able to get this week's lift done in time. There was one advantage to my tardiness - Betsy Tuma had her kits on sale today so I was able to buy more with my money than I would have gotten earlier in the week.

I used a lot of items from Betsy's That’s Life kit, along with Amanda Tracy’s Edge Templates, Sara Amarie’s yellow Office Pretties: Lined Notes, a journaling circle from the Day Trip kit by ksharonkdesigns, and Chipboard alphabet by Angela Sharrow. The font used is CK Alpha Swirl.

The journaling reads: Alec spent a lot of time in the pool this summer. It was one of his favorite activities on a hot day, and we sure had a lot of warm days this year. He liked being active in the water, no floating around for this boy. He spent most all of his time swimming under water. He could usually be seen wearing his blue goggles and nose plugs.

My First Layout for Teriann's CT

A couple of days ago I got the wonderful news that I had been selected for Teriann Hanks' Templates and More CT. The My New Car layout from a week or so back was my audition layout. I worked with a template that she had posted for a challenge at www.digital-scrapbooking.org today and everything just seemed to flow beautifully. I received the kit that I used, Eva Kipler’s Star 4 James, as a posting bonus for another site and it was just perfect. I tried to talk Alec into helping me with the journaling and he did a little bit. He thought it would be cool if each of the letters of his name went into one of the journaling strip so we made that work.

Other supplies used include All Stars by Ninascraps Designs, and Graffiti alphabet by Bunny Cates. The fonts used are CK Ali Circles and CK Carefree.

Two new layouts

I did both of these for challenges at digitalfreebies.com. I really like using templates so I've hunted for freebies since learning to digiscrap. It makes it so much quicker.

For this layout I used a template by Eva and all of my papers came from different kits by Shandy Vogt including If You Dare, Not So Simple Solids, Nature, and Jumperoo. Other accents used are Doodled Hearts by I Made This Today, and index card by Lilac Garden kit by Miss Mint. The fonts used are CK Ranch, Ck Ladder and CK Scribbles.

The template is by Eva and all of the papers come from Shandy Vogt Designs Island Woods minikit. The journaling box is from her Vintage Floral kit. The font used is Countryside.

Grungy Girl

This week I was at the last minute getting the Lifts with a Twist challenge finished. I had workshops all week so it felt like school had started back already. At least this time, it was enjoyable.

Now for the information about the layout. This was the most challenging one for me so far. It took forever for me to make the grid layout but I'm sure that there has to be an easier way that I just don't know yet. I used lots of items from Sara Amarie’s Natalie kit along with slide frames by FishinMomDesigns and a Glitter Graph frame from Designs by Lindsay Jane. The font used is CK Fresh

The photos are from back in April. I don't know why I didn't wash Hannah's face before grabbing the camera but I still think she's beautiful dirt and all.

I'm so excited!

I just saw on the Lifts with a Twist blog that I won this week. (The layout was a A Present for Me? that can been seen below) I loved so many things in Alisha Hess's store. It will be such fun to shop there to spend my gift certificate.

Frank

I did this one last night. I can't believe I was scrappin' when my new Harry Potter book had been screaming "read me" all day. It's super simple. I just wish I could have found a photo of Frank when he was tiny. I know I took some but I don't have my digital photos organized by anything but date and I got tired of looking for it.

I used a template by Teriann Hanks along with papers and elements from Dianne Rigdon's Calypso kits. Other items used are Live Out Loud alphabet by Michelle Underwood, Got Ya Cornered photo corners by MandaBean and 2 Peas Rickety font.

The journaling reads:
Alec got Franklin when he was around the size of a quarter. He has been living in the aquarium with the fishies for over a year now. Tonight Alec discovered he was a snapper so we let him go free in a nearby ditch. July 21st, 2007

Luckily Frank didn't hurt Alec, he just snapped at a pencil he was holding. He had Frank out where he had been drawing. We've all played with him, even Hannah, and he never bit anyone. But we decided it was better to be safe. I hope Frank adapts well to being out in the world.

A Present for Me?

A Present for Me?

I did this layout for this week’s Lift with a Twist challenge. I used lots of products by Alisha Hess, both papers and embellishments, all coming from her Sweet and Shabby kit, a circular template by Jen Caputo, and button stitching from Barbara Derksen. The fonts used are Wendy Medium and 2Peas My Muse.

The journaling reads:
Hannah had such a good time playing with the box that Sue’s Ebay purchase came in last week. Isn’t that always the case? At least this time what was inside was a quilt that sis ordered for Mother. We didn’t have to be sad that she liked the packaging more than the gift inside.

The quilt was beautiful but that’s another story for another day.

My New Car

My New Car

For this layout I used the Flair template by Teriann Hanks, green print paper from the Spring Fling kit by K Pertiet, bright aqua paper from the Duly Noted paper pack by Katie the Scrapbook Lady (at The Digi Shoppe), kiwi ornate swirls paper from Urban Kiwi kit by Shabby Princess Designs, brad from the Smile kit by Bad Candy Factory, green rickrack from the Just for Fun kit by Designs by Krista, silver book plate from The Basics Office by Cristy Lyle, silver clip from the Day Tip freebie by ksharonkdesigns, flower is from Birthday Girl by miradesigns, butterfly clip is from Shelbz Flutter kit by Kim B, notebook corners are from Got Ya Cornered by MandyBean, tab and circle are from the Be Happy kit by Angela Young. The fonts used are 2Peas Chatter and 2 Peas Girly.

The journaling reads:
This car represents a first for me. I’ve never in all my 42 years like a car so much that I bought another like it. This is my second VW Beetle convertible and I love it! It makes me smile just to look at it!

Now for a bit more about the car. I had wanted to trade my old bug in since around Spring Break but just now got around to doing it. Luckily my newphew works at NorthPoint and was able to recomment a salesman and help me out along the way. I absolutely HATE car shopping. It's hard for me to make up my mind anyway and it's even worse with something I'll be driving for a while. I hope I made a good decision.

Playing Beauty Shop

I did this layout for the Lifts with a Twist blog challenge for this week. I loved the original layout but couldn't see myself using the cardboard pieces. They're just not my style. (odd that I can say what's not my style but still have no clue as what is - strange) I used papers from Lena Brandenburg’s Snugglebaby Paper pack and several items from the Snugglebaby Element kit. I love her digital kits and I alread had several. This is the first of the Lifts that I didn't have to go shopping before scrapping. I also used Shandy Vogt’s Painted Alphabet Stencils, Michelle Underwood’s Kick it Up Alphabet, Digital Stitches by ScrapStreet.com, frames from Seebee’s Freebies Old Photo Edges and a torn border from the Melon Sunshine kit by Pillowgirl’s Scraps. The font used is 2Peas Well Behaved.

It's been a blah kind of week. I haven't been inspired to do much, other than read. The week ended on a sad note today. My niece Jenny (that you can see here in layouts) lost her grandpa on her father's side this morning. He had a heart attack a couple of days ago and wasn't able to pull through because of other health problems. He was in his 90s and was loved deeply by his granddaughter Jennifer. I've been hurting for her because I know this is going to be really hard for both her and her grandmother.

Night Owl

I know you may have seen these photos before. I wasn't at all happy with the layout I did because the photos were so dark. My friend Gayla told me what to do to fix them and I did a little tweaking and think they work better.

I did this for the Lifts with a Twist challenge. All the digi elements came from Lie Fhung's Evening Falls kit except for the yellow area with the journaling. It's by Agnes Lahur Designs and is called Graph Paper. The fonts used are CK Fresh and 2 Peas Well Behaved.

I never thought I'd say it but I'm loving digiscrappin'. I'm not too sure it'll be any cheaper because there are so many great products out there and I'm still in the "I want it ALL!" stage. I loved everything in this designer's shop.

Prom layout

I did this one with last night’s crop template by Amy Bleser at Scrapbook Bytes. The grey background paper is from the In Bloom Paper pack by Shelle Pukas, red is from Red Facts by Jonosch Designs, the black is from When Black Meets White Paper Pack by Lena Brandenburg. The silver jeweled daisy if by Pillowgirl. The title font is 1 Bean Sprout DNA and the journaling font is 2 Peas Well Behaved.

The journaling reads: This year the prom was absolutely beautiful. The Junior Class did a great job with the decorations. The photos are of me along with some of my favorite kids, BJ & Sesylie, Ludie, Tim & dates, and Kesha.

Homemade Goodness

I was digiscrappin' super early this morning - around 4ish and this is the result. I laid in bed for about a half hour after waking and gave up on going back to sleep. I did this one for the button challenge at Twisted Originals (it's a cool blog I discovered, go check it out at http://scraptwisted.blogspot.com/). I used a template by Amy Bleser. It was from last week’s template crop at Scrapbook Bytes and I just got around to using it. Most of the papers come from 2 Peas freebie kits. The papers are Art from Rhonna Farrer’s July ’05 Kit, Miamarre Spring, Miamarre Too Good, Miamarre Mojito and Miamarre Persimmon Fuzz from the Spring Kit by MLamarre of www.Dragonflaire.com, The green element at the lower right is called Circle of Love and it’s from the 2 Peas April Free Pea Kit by Rhonna Farrer. The turquoise paper is If You Dare Baby Blue by Shandy Vogt. The assortment of buttons is from different freebies by Anita Designs. The fonts used are 2 Peas Well Behaved for the Title and 2Peas Miss Happy for the journaling.

A Couple of Altered Notebooks

I made both of these last week and just didn't get around to posting them here. The one that says scrappy stuff is to go by my computer. It's to help me keep track of the stuff I need or want to do. I used a steno pad for this and the papers are some old stuff that I had laying around. The white rubons were the only thing fairly new. I used a sticker label I messed up as a template to cut my own here. I'm already using it quite a bit.

The other is about twice the size and it has the cool quad paper inside. I did it to tote to workshops this summer. Each year I practically fill a whole one with notes and drawings (mostly drawings) during the sometimes boring teacher workshops I have to sit through. I look forward to adding more doodles to the cover. I got my first chance to use it yesterday. I even got a few oohs and ahhhs from my fellow art teachers in attendance.

thanks for looking!

Lifts with a Twist Challenge

I did this one for the current challenge at the Lifts with a Twist blog (http://pachimactoo.typepad.com/). I just loved the original layout by Fototina and it was lots of fun to CASE. The background papers and the elements are by Carrie Stephens and come from her Baby Cakes kit (it's super cute!). The photo mask is from Shandy Vogt’s Swass Masks. I love everything this woman designs. I also cropped the flourish part to use on the opposite side of the layout. The smaller frames are from her Doodle Sticker Frames kit. The fonts used for the title are CK Cosmopolitan and CK Dots and Dashes. The photos of Hannan are from 09-25-05.

I'm really enjoying learning how to digiscrap.

3 Layouts in 2 Days

Can you believe it? I know it's so not like me. The kids went to spend the weekend with Aunt Jess and their grandparents and its been too quiet.

The first is a paper layout. I just finished it a little bit ago. I had it all done but the title last night and wasn't up to fighting with the rubons. Maybe I should have waited even longer because I did a crappy job. I had to rub so hard that I made dents in the paper and it's so crooked it looks like I've been hitting the tequila bottle. I may have to redo it another time. I did this one for the brown and pink challenge at L4S. The people in the photo are my nephew Shane and his girlfriend Paula. She's been so good for him and they seem perfect together. They've been together a few years now. All of the supplies I used are from my older stash - not really old but at least several months to a year. It felt good to use them.

This one is my favorite. No body will get the title unless they listen to rap music. I have to say it's not my favorite kind of music but I recognize a few songs when I hear them. Every kid in school was singing this one a couple years ago. I took this pic of Hannah in the back yard before she got in the pool with Sue and Sharon. That'll be another layout someday. Of course, I'd kill them if they took a photo of me in a swimsuit. It's not a pretty sight.

Here are the details if anyone is interested. I used a template by Pattie Knox from Designer Digitals. I adjusted the photo block to better fit my image I wanted to use. All the other materials are by Michelle Underwood. Papers come from the Loving Life paper pack. Flower (color adjusted slightly) is from the Dream in Color kit, button and staples are from the A New Beginning kit. The font for the title is 2Peas Busy Babs, and the journaling is 2Peas Ditzy.

The journaling reads: Hannah has got the cutest little butt. Her mom says that it’s just like her dads. Hannah’s has to be cuter!

This is another one of Shane. He's with his little brother Zach here. I'm pretty sure that Shane will be 31 on his birthday in August and Zach will be 14 in November. I took this photo and the last at Colton's in Batesville. There were so many of us there that it took a while for them to get enough tables to put together for us. I've been struggling with learning to use templates in Photoshop. I can do it in Elements without any problem now that I've done a few but I had to hunt down a tutorial for using the harder program. I found it at Misty Cato's blog along with this cute template I used here.

Here's all the info: I used Misty Cato’s blog template 9. The papers and Super Cool alphabet I used are by Michelle Underwood. The majority of the papers come from her A New Beginning page kit. The black kraft paper used for the mat is from the Beyond Cool paperpack. The font for Zach & Shane is Digital Woodcuts and the journaling was done with French Roast.

thanks for looking!

Last week's paper layouts

I got a new scanner. It is a Mustek and it scans practically the entire 12 x 12 layout in one scan. It only cuts off 3/10" and I can live with that.

I did a lot of work last week. I hope I can keep it up all summer but I know things will slow down when I'm busy with workshops.

This one is my current favorite. I did it for the green, white and black challenge at L4S. I took the photo of Alec at the park in Newport around the end of April.

I re-scrapped the pic of me and Jenny for my ME album. I used papers from WalMart of all places. I can't believe they had Autumn Leaves.

These are more pictures from the park. They show Alec with his 2 best school friends. We let him have a sleepover for his birthday and I took these guys to the park the next afternoon.

Lastly I have a layout of Hannah that I made for her album using the watermelon pics I scrapped for Scrapbook Attic. I like this single page layout better than the double I did for them.

My scanner died last month

It was old and I know it was time for a new one. But it was aggravating. I hate taking photos of my layouts. I never can get a good one. I know other people can because I've seen some that looked really good on 2Peas.

I had to deliver 2 months worth of layouts to SA and all I have to show are these awful photos but they're better than nothing I guess.
